A short story about us

My name is Nicholas VanNote. I've lived in Indianapolis my whole life. I am new to the career of home inspecting, but excited to use what I know to give people peace of mind in an already stressful time in their lives. I remember the anxiety I felt years ago when purchasing a century old home and feeling like I couldn't get enough incite on my home's components and what I should look for before making the biggest purchase of our lives.

I come from an eclectic background. I went to college for and taught high school art for years before switching roles to become a fulltime brewer for a local brewery.

It is when my daughter was born that I decided I wanted more time with my family and less time wearing my body out at a physically demanding job. Home inspecting checked all of the boxes for me in terms of being home enough to spend time with my family and being present enough mentally at the end of the day. I know a little about a lot and spend most of my time familiarizing myself with and fixing things in my own old house. In my free time I like to build guitars, do woodworking, and play boardgames.
